PIZZI BIANCHI (WHITE LACE)

ONE OF THE MOST CHARMING PLACES ON THE ISLAND OF ISCHIA

Pizzi Bianchi are bizarre geological formations shaped like pinnacles that rise from the countryside of Serrara Fontana. A stunning landscape overlooking the sea and sunny country terraces will accompany you throughout the tour.
To reach Pizzi Bianchi you have to get to Serrara Fontana, the area of Noia. There you follow an easy mule trail that leads to a smaller trail hollowed out between the walls of tuff. After a few meters you get to Pizzi Bianchi. You can continue following the path all the way to the Maronti beach.

PIANO LIGUORI

VINEYARDS AND WINERIES BETWEEN THE GREEN COUNTRYSIDE AND THE BLUE SEA

The small town of Campagnano in Ischia is perched on a hill looking out over a charming landscape where you can admire the sea, the Aragonese Castle, and the islands of Procida and Vivara. From Capagnano, you can get to the ancient rural village of Piano Liguori, facing southeast. The route is very scenic and winds through the countryside with vineyeards and orchards. Piano Liguori has a handful of houses, some inhabited, and a bar – restaurant for a refreshing break

EPOMEO

THE SUMMIT OF ISCHIA WHERE YOU WILL GET YOUR FILL OF BEAUTY

Mount Epomeo is the highest mountain of Ischia, dominating the island with its 800 meters. The route to the summit is completed by climbing an ancient mule trail, which lies between chestnut forests and “macchia mediterranea”. The last part of the journey is the most attractive because it lies between bare rock and open landscape. At the top of the summit there is a small church dedicated to Saint Nicolas, and ancient hermitage, but unfortunately it is closed to the public. There is also an excellent restaurant with clear views of both sides of the island.

SANTA MARIA AL MONTE

THE MOUNTAIN OVERLOOKING THE LANDSCAPE OF FORIO

Santa Maria is located in Forio and is a small village of rural houses, some carved out of rock, built around a delightful country church. The route is very pleasant; the road to the village is wide, smooth and winds through fields and orchards with ample glimpses of the Foriano landscape. Once you reach the church, you can continue your walk into the woods of the Falanga, a plateau of locust and chestnut trees. Here you can admire typical stone houses used up until a hundred years ago by Foriano farmers during the summer.
