We come from water. We do survive thanks to water! Not only a basic element in our life, water is today’s most precious resource. As up to 60 percent of the human body is water, the hyperthermal waters are very effective in the treatment of many diseases. This has been fully documented by medical and clinical studies.

The Manzi Natural SPA stands on the historical “Gurgitello” spring – well-known since ancient times. As a matter of fact, it was the Romans who named “Gurges” this hot spring which at that time was running freely in the place currently known as “Piazza dei Bagni”, before flowing into the sea.

This water has many beneficial properties. It is rich in bicarbonate, alkaline sulphates, sodium and calcium phosphates – all these elements being associated with fluids that were in touch with the deepest layers of the Earth.

Such elements combined with the heat originated from the island’s volcanic action (approx 70 deg) makes this water very beneficial to the blood and lymphatic circulation, as it can dissolve toxins, fat acids and metabolic waste thus helping their discharge through perspiration.
